On December 5th, Jim Rohn Passed away.
I remember Jim Rohn as my teacher, my friend and mentor. I owe him what I know about mind set, perseverance, success, living a better life and becoming a better person. I was fortunate to have been close to him. I remember our talks when he came into town for seminars, his generosity for taking the time to sit down for dinner with humble people like me, share his wisdom and give me clarity.
Those were the good days when we could could have him all to ourselves as we worked in the same company. I admired him more than any other mentor. He had an enormous exuberance and confidence. His ability to affect positive change in others was unsurpassed. His words, so unique and distinctive will ring in the minds of millions of people for generations to come.
He was a mentor for all, but I know so well, that at heart, he was a networker. He loved network marketing and network marketers.
He taught me immeasurable, significant things that stuck with me forever. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t hear his voice saying some of his favorite philosophies:
“Character isn’t something you were born with and can’t change, like your fingerprints. It’s something you weren’t born with and must take responsibility for forming.”
“Don’t bring your need to the marketplace, bring your skill. If you don’t feel well, tell your doctor, but not the marketplace. If you need money, go to the bank, but not the marketplace.”
“Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.”
“Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You don’t fail overnight. Instead, failure is a few errors in judgement, repeated every day.”
“Work harder on you yourself than you work on your job.”
Thank you for all the advice Jim, it worked. My life is successful because of you.
